The weekly tungsten price digest (email newsletter)

This section covers the email digest specifically. It sits alongside the rest of this policy, which describes how the website itself handles data.

What we collect

Only the email address you type into the subscribe form, and the date you subscribed. Nothing else: no name, no company, no phone number, no tracking pixels, and no profile of what you read. We do not buy, rent, rent out, or enrich addresses from third parties.

Why we hold it (legal basis)

To send you the digest you asked for. Under the GDPR our legal basis is consent (Article 6(1)(a)): you gave it by submitting the form, and you can withdraw it at any time. Under PIPL the basis is your voluntary, explicit agreement given on the same form. We do not use the address for anything else, and in particular we do not treat subscription as consent to marketing about our own products.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe, plus a short period afterwards sufficient to make sure the removal is honoured, after which the address is deleted. Unsubscribing is immediate and does not require a reason or a login.

How to unsubscribe

Every digest carries a one-click unsubscribe link that works without an account. You can also write to [email protected] and we will remove you manually. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything sent before that point.

Who else sees it

The address is stored in a file on our own server and transmitted to our mail provider solely to deliver the message. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or disclose it except where the law requires. Statistics reported to anyone — including in our own admin view — are aggregate counts; the subscriber list itself is never published.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
