Binderless Tungsten Carbide
Aspherical glass molds and corrosion-resistant precision parts.
Optional grades of HIP sintering and SPS sintering technology.
Made of nano-scale WC powder, better polishing performance.
High hardness, high wear resistance, high precision, high density, high elastic modulus, high corrosion resistance.
The content of the binder phase is extremely low. Compared with the traditional WC-Co cemented carbide, it polishes to a super-mirror finish. Polished surface roughness Ra can reach the nanometer level., and its high hardness ensures wear resistance. Its low thermal expansion coefficient makes dimensional accuracy easy to control, especially suitable for high-precision optical glass lens molds.
We strive to create sustainable value for our customers around the world by meeting the most demanding abrasion- and corrosion-resistance requirements in a wide range of industrial applications. Please contact us to learn how our expertise can help you as well.

Nano-level surface finish
- Ultra-high density after UHT treatment eliminates pores.
- Advanced process control to eliminate white spots and impurities.
- Ultra-fine powder and a tight particle size distribution reduce Ry and Rz roughness values.
Low thermal expansion coefficient
- Optimized material composition effectively lowers the thermal expansion coefficient.
- Stable quality control, effectively reducing thermal expansion fluctuations.
High hardness, high wear resistance, corrosion resistance, long life
- Ultra-high density and ultra-fine grains bring high hardness and good wear resistance.
- Minimal metallic content; no oxidation at high temperature; corrosion resistant.
- Excellent DLC coating adhesion brings longer service life.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is binderless tungsten carbide?
It is tungsten carbide with no cobalt or nickel binder, sintered by HIP or SPS. It offers extreme hardness, superior corrosion resistance and no binder contamination — ideal for optical molds, nozzles and seals.
Why is it more expensive than regular carbide?
Binderless grades require advanced sintering (HIP/SPS) and strict process control. The payoff is 3–10x longer service life in corrosive or high-precision applications, which usually lowers total cost of ownership.
What applications use binderless carbide best?
Aspherical glass lens molds, sputtering targets, abrasive waterjet nozzles, mechanical seal rings and any application needing zero metallic contamination or mirror finishes.
Do you support custom sizes for binderless tungsten carbide?
Yes. We produce to your drawings (PDF, DWG or STEP) with mirror-polished finishes available. Send specifications and our engineers will confirm feasibility and provide a quote within 24 hours.
What is the MOQ and can I order samples first?
There is no fixed MOQ for standard items. Sample orders are welcome so you can verify quality before volume production; shipping is freight collect.
