Non magnetic Tungsten Carbide | Non magnetic Cemented Carbide
Why is Cemented Carbide non-magnetic?
In order to make Cemented Carbide non-magnetic, Cemented Carbide is made with Nickel as a binder (Cemented Carbide is usually made with Cobalt as a binder, which would make the carbide magnetic).
Advantages of Non-Magnetic Cemented Carbide
Our YN series carbide grades, developed using advanced carbide material technology, are non-magnetic and highly resistant to corrosion and thermal shock. These grades are extremely tough and withstand harsh operating conditions.
Non-magnetic cemented carbide contains no cobalt and is a food-contact-safe material for food and beverage processing equipment.

Application of non-magnetic cemented carbide
Parts for Molds and Dies
Magnetic material dies, stamping dies, drawing die, powder metallurgy dies, refractory material dies, ceramic molds, glass molds.
Wear-resistant parts
Nozzles, valve seats, bushings, bearing balls, etc. for oil and gas production and transportation equipment used in harsh working conditions.
Corrosion resistant blades
Utilizing the corrosion and wear resistance of non-magnetic cemented carbide, we manufacture wear-resistant blades for plastic crushers and food crushers.
Liquid/Gas Piston
Piston Tubes, Piston Rods

Non-magnetic Cemented Carbide Grade Selection
There is no ‘best’ grade of cemented carbide; rather, the most suitable grade depends on the specific application. Hardness is neither inherently good nor bad with respect to wear resistance, machinability or crack avoidance; it is a matter of balance.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes your carbide non-magnetic?
We use nickel-binder (WC-Ni) grades, or binderless grades where a binder-free material is required, eliminating ferromagnetic cobalt, so permeability stays low for magnetic-field-sensitive applications.
Where is non-magnetic carbide used?
Mold components for magnetic powder pressing, EDM blocks, seals and precision instruments sensitive to magnetic interference.
Can you provide magnetic permeability data?
Yes, test data can be supplied with shipments — request it with your quotation.
Do you support custom sizes for non-magnetic tungsten carbide?
Yes. We produce to your drawings (PDF, DWG or STEP). Send specifications and our engineers will confirm feasibility and provide a quote within 24 hours.
What is the MOQ and can I order samples first?
There is no fixed MOQ for standard items. Sample orders are welcome so you can verify quality before volume production; shipping is freight collect.
